nani
nani with girlfriendIt seemed as if this speedy winger was destined to be heading out of Manchester United after quotes attributed to him suggested he had criticised Old Trafford boss Sir Alex Ferguson early in the 2009-10 season, yet Nani bounced back from that episode to turn in some fine displays for club and country. Speedy and unpredictable, the lack of clarity in his game may be one of his best qualities. It often seems as if Nani is not sure what he will do next and if that is the case, his opponent has little hope of second guessing him. Trying to fill Cristiano Ronaldo's boots at United has proved impossible, but he had a good try in the second half of the last Premier League season, with a memorable performance againats Arsenal the highlight of his best campaign yet for United.
His two goals in the Champions League quarter-finals against Bayern Munich in April appeared to crown the revival in his fortunes at United, only for the German side to stun Old Trafford with two dramatic away goals to dump the 2008 European champions out of the competition.
Strengths: On top form, the Portuguese winger can be a nightmare for defenders. A bundle of pace and trickery, his ability to create and score spectacular goals makes him an important attacking outlet.
Weaknesses: Defensively weak and wasteful in possession, needs to understand that sometimes the simple pass or cross will do.
Career high: A 30-yard winner against Spurs in 2007 was his first goal for the club and lives long in the memory, but his performance against Arsenal at the Emirates in January 2010 was one of the best displays of individual attacking flair of the season.
Career low: Being ruled out of the 2010 World Cup with a shoulder injury three days before the opening match of the tournament.
Style: Pacy, skilful, creative; Nani is a devastatingly explosive winger with the ability to produce moments of magic.
Quotes: "Nani's got the potential to do what he wants. He's one of the sharpest players around, has a great strike with both feet - he's got the potential to be a top, top player." Rio Ferdinand praises his team-mate in May 2010..
Trivia: After coming on as a substitute for Wayne Rooney in the 2008 UEFA Champions League final, Nani scored Manchester United's crucial fifth penalty in the shoot-out.

News is Carlos Tevez has given a written transfer request to Manchester City to leave within two weeks,Tevez took the drastic action after feeling increasingly homesick and falling out with manager Roberto Mancini. sources quote: “He has a fantastic respect for the fans and the owner, Sheikh Mansour but it has got to the stage where he cannot face life at City anymore.”
True or not only time will tell but tevez leaving City could have a massive impact on their season

he 25-year-old's contract expires at the end of this season and up to now the reigning European champions have done nothing to indicate they will make Tevez a permanent fixture at the club. Tevez himself recently confessed that his time at United was coming to an end - prompting a number of Europe's best clubs to take note of his availability. According to the Star, Italian giants Milan are prepared to spend £40 million on securing the Argentine's services, based on a £20m transfer fee and a £20m, four-year deal. Rumours linking Tevez with the Rossoneri were further fuelled at the weekend when his advisor Kia Joorabchian was seen in the San Siro's directors box watching Milan's match against Juventus - just hours after he was pictured at Old Trafford watching the Manchester derby. Another hypothesis concerning Tevez's future is that a move to Liverpool would suit.
His comments at the weekend suggested that remaining at a Premier League club was high on his agenda in order that he causes as little disruption to his family as possible.
The Sun claims that Anfield officials have already contacted Joorabchian to "register their interest", but the reports remain largely unsubstantiated.
Tevez is certainly not facing a lack of options away from Old Trafford. Aside from the aforementioned clubs he has also been linked with Manchester City, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Tottenham and Everton.
Amid the uncertainty surrounding his future, Tevez's team-mates have heaped praise on him of late. Following his sensational strike against Manchester City at the weekend - which gave United the cushion they required - Patrice Evra said: "Carlos is a world-class player and he showed his quality again.
"Carlito is a good professional. But when he plays he respects the shirt of United."
In the hope that something will be done to resolve matters, Evra added: "Carlos works his socks off. He scored a great goal and he is a very popular player in the dressing room.
"The rest is up to the people upstairs."

“That’s where I play best, that’s how I was formed. In every age group at youth level, I often played through the middle. I’ve been playing out wide for two years with Arsenal but feel more at ease in the centre of the pitch.”These words were recently uttered by the only person on the Arsenal squad that could be as strong as Cesc Fabregas in the center of midfield.  Yes, there is Jack Wilshere (too young right now), Tomas Rosicky (not the same after that long-standing injury), and Andrei Arshavin (dangerous, but inconsistent). With Cesc Fabregas all but certain to reach his dream of playing in a Barcelona jersey next season, Arsene Wenger’s choice really isn’t one at all.  He has to pick Samir Nasri. When Samir Nasri was purchased in the summer of 2008 by the Gunners to take over for Barcelona bound Alexander Hleb, he had already proved himself to be a superstar in France.  Coming off of a season with Ligue 1 side Marseille where he scored seven goals and had 14 assists in all competitions as well as walking away with Ligue 1’s Young Player of the Year award in the previous campaign, Nasri had drawn comparisons to the great Zidane as a scintillating playmaker with a gift for the precise pass.  Debuting against West Bromwich Albion that August, he made an instant impression by scoring the only goal just four minutes into the match.  The 2008-2009 season would have Nasri finish with seven goals and six assists as a winger.  Although he missed out on a large part of the 2009-2010 season with a broken leg, Nasri was still able to make an impact with his club upon his return.  His five goals (three of those in the Champions League) and four assists showed that he could be an asset. So far this season, Nasri has been playing to his strong potential.  A brace against West Bromwich as well as two penalty conversions against Tottenham in a Carling Cup match have shown his ability to turn a game around.   His performance against Romania over the weekend in Euro 2012 qualifying was excellent as he was the orchestrator of many of Les Bleu’s scoring chances.  While Cesc will retain his position when he comes back from injury, there is no mistaking that Nasri has shown himself worthy to be the stalwart in the midfield for Arsenal.  Next season, there will be a new player in Cesc’s position, like it or not.  Hopefully, it will be number 8.
